Hallway Plumbing Apprentice Program
If you are interested in learning practical skills, gaining hands-on experience while earning a salary, and pursuing a career in a high-demand field, then a plumbing apprentice program could be a great option for you; it allows you to learn from experienced plumbers while working on real-world projects.
On-the-job training:
- You will primarily learn by working alongside licensed plumbers, gaining practical skills in various plumbing tasks.
Classroom instruction:
- Most programs include supplemental classroom training covering plumbing theory, codes, and safety procedures.

I started my Apprentice Program with Hallway Plumbing in 2020 in Alabama. After gaining a few years of experience being on the field, I took the Journeyman Exam in 2023 & became a Journeyman Plumber. Recently, I took the Master Exam & I am now a Master Plumber in 2025. Building a career with Hallway Plumbing has been interesting. Ever since day one as an apprentice, I have been trying to learn & gain experience from every person I interact with on Jobsites daily. Every Jobsite I’ve worked at with Hallway whether it has been in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, SC, etc., has each been an important project. I have always treated them as such. There is always something to learn almost every day in the field, experiencing the trade day to day. I am thankful for the opportunities Hallway has granted me but, I am also aware that it wouldn’t have been possible to make it up to this point without my own Dedication to the Plumbing Trade. In conclusion, the Apprentice Program offered at Hallway has been an Experience & I look forward to growing & learning as a Plumber as well as a Person as each day comes.

Since I started with Hallway, I have had the opportunity to grow every year in a supportive environment. I obtained my OSHA 30 in my first year, my Journeyman plumbing license in my 3rd year and most recently in my 5th year my Masters plumbing license. I’ve worked for other plumbing companies, and no one comes close to the care and dedication Hallway has in growing younger generations into their full potential. I look forward to my future at Hallway plumbing.

The apprentice class has affected my knowledge of plumbing drastically and it's improving my day-to-day work each time. From noticing a 2" drain arm running 12' off a kitchen island or a standpipe with a length of 44 inches a day before inspection, this class has given me the knowledge to identify out of code plumbing on site. The class has ultimately made my life easier on site by gaining a little understanding of the way things are supposed to be, the trade partners’ life gets easier by gaining an extra person to answer questions, and the superintendent and builders’ lives get easier by there being an extra set of knowledgeable eyes on site.

I started working for Hallway knowing very little about plumbing but knew that I wanted to start a new career. The amount of knowledge in the plumbing industry that these plumbing professionals are above par. I have yet to meet a group of people where I have felt valued and appreciated right out of the gate as I have had here at Hallway Plumbing. I am forever grateful for the opportunities they provide for my future.

My time at Hallway has been a true blessing. I have many jobs in my time ranging from stockboy, a rifleman and a barista. I can honestly say, I have never been treated with more respect and have had so many people care for my well-being and professional development. From the highest levels of management to individuals in the field you will find a more experienced team and no finer place to find a career. For myself, I feel like not only part of a team, but part of a family.

The Hallway plumbing apprenticeship has been nothing but a blessing for me since I started here. I started with another plumbing company before I came to Hallway, and it really opened my eyes to how much Hallway cares about their employees.
Starting out, they make sure you have all the tools and safety knowledge you need to be helping on a job in the field. After that they start enrolling you in very beneficial classes and equipment seminars to help you get all your licenses to be able to run a job proficiently. That has been a big part of the apprenticeship to me because finding some of those classes and being able to complete them in a timely manner can be complicated on your own. A few years in you’ll eventually start preparing to take your Journeyman’s Test and Hallway does a really good job on making sure you’re ready for that by hosting in office classes that will bring you tons of plumbing knowledge.
I have been here for almost 4 years now and I couldn’t think of another company I would rather work for. Making it happen for Hallway has been a blessing.

When I started with Hallway nearly 5 years ago, I knew nothing about plumbing, construction, or management. The apprenticeship program helped guide me and teach me everything I need to know about industry and more. Whether it be doing takeoffs or organizing manpower for a job site, I feel comfortable managing any task that comes my way thanks to the guidance given to me. That level of support is truly unmatched from what I've seen in the construction industry. I have truly appreciated my time in the program. It took me from a complete beginner to a licensed plumber faster than I ever imagined and I've enjoyed every step of the way.
